Push-to-talk voice and chat with whoever is within 100 yards of you.

Open it and you see the people around you on a radar. Hold the button and they hear you. Send a message, share a photo, leave a note at a place for whoever comes by next.

Nothing is stored

This is the part that makes ProxTalk different, and it is architecture rather than policy:

• Voice is relayed between phones and never recorded.
• Nearby chat is relayed and discarded. There is no history to scroll.
• Photos are forwarded and forgotten — they exist only on the phones involved.
• Messages between friends are end-to-end encrypted. We hold ciphertext we cannot read.
• How often you run into someone is counted on your own phone and never sent to us.

Verified in person

Because friends are added face to face, you can compare six words on both phones and know for certain that nobody has substituted a key. Every other messenger asks you to do this and nobody ever does.

Getting help

Every message, photo and beacon can be reported from inside the app, and anyone can be blocked. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. You can also email support@proxtalk.net and we will reply within 24 hours.

To delete your account and everything on our servers, open Settings in the app and choose "Delete account".
